I have not found any Diablo Immortal announcements or reveals, but my radar just detected Blizzard Entertainment is participating in a unknown capacity at Chinajoy 2021. As you might have heard a few hours ago, the Diablo Immortal closed alpha test in China is coming to an end in August 2.

Chinajoy 2021 is taking place through July 30 – August 2. Why is Chinajoy of any relevance?

Well, the Diablo Immortal chinese website silently updated a few things during Chinajoy 2020. Among those changes were updated hi-res 3D models of the Classes — including the Necromancer.

In addition, in ChinaJoy 2020, a new trailer was shared for the chinese market without the blood and gore, which had new content not seen in the west: a glimpse to the last boss of the Frozen Tundra’s Cavern of Echoes dungeon, a boss from the Kion’s Ordeal, and a view of Baal from the Library of Zoltun Kulle’s caverns of time-like dungeon.

With the closed alpha test ending in China, and Blizzard now confirmed to be attending Chinajoy 2021, the question remains… will there be any new content reveal? New trailer of Closed Beta content we haven’t seen before? Release date announcement? Or an approximate of when to expect closed beta?

I don’t know the answers other than don’t hold your breath. The Activision Blizzard Investors conference call is also taking place on August 3, 2021 at 1:30pm PST. However, it is impossible to know how the recent scandal might affect any plans there might have been as the company might be going into PR lockdown while the scandal is still fresh.

Wanuxi reports that Blizzard’s booth in Chinajoy 2021 has a computer station to play Overwatch, Hearthstone and Diablo Immortal closed alpha. Based on the photos below, likely World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic.

This is how I learned Blizzard Entertainment was in attendance at ChinaJoy 2021:
