MrMesli sent me a link to a Inven.co.kr article that says the South Korean Game Rating and Administration Committee approved Diablo II: Resurrected tech alpha to be tested from April 9 – 13. Only testers above age 18 can register. The approval allows a max of 19,999 testers.

Update: Flam744 reports the South Korean Game Rating and Administration Committee removed the listing. I wasn’t able to find this entry either, but Inven.co.kr got a screenshot (below).

This is possibly a stress test taking in mind it will only last around 4 days. It is unknown if this particular test will be simultaneous with other countries’ tests, or limited only to Korea.

We should be on alert to official channels for any potential announcements. Diablo II: Resurrected Tech Alpha was revealed at BlizzConline 2021 over 6 weeks ago. There will be multiple rounds of testing. You can read the Press Q&A transcript for more details.

The Diablo II: Resurrected internal alpha client has been updated today (BlizzTrack).

Flam744 points out a new subdomain was added in April 1 to the diablo2.blizzard.com website (currently not viewable). Same happened weeks before Diablo II: Resurrected was officially announced.
