The officially licensed tabletop RPG adaptation of Diablo by Glass Cannon Unplugged will launch soon. The Diablo: The Roleplaying Game Tabletop Kickstarter will accept pledges in Q4 2025 — but you can sign up to get notifications at the Kickstarter page to be alerted when pledges go online. More details about the project can be read in the imagery.

The massive Core Rulebook offers over 300 pages of original game rules, rich lore, and breathtaking art — including covers by Igor Sidorenko and Antonio De Luca.

The rules are powered by a custom d6 dice pool system from a dream team led by Joe LeFavi (Blade Runner) and GCU’s Przemyslaw Zub (Dying Light) working alongside Cam Banks (Marvel Heroic Roleplaying), John Harper (Blades in the Dark), Mike Olson (Fate), and Shawn Tomkin (Ironsworn) on the core rules.

With a deluxe rulebook, epic adventures, premium miniatures, and more, Diablo: The Roleplaying Game launches as a fully realized line of physical and digital products for tabletop RPG fans and Diablo lovers alike. From evocative maps to collectible art prints, every item is forged in fandom and hellfire to honor the world of Sanctuary.

Additionally, the GenCon 2025 presentation video will be uploaded to the public in 1-2 weeks.

For those wondering, this is news about the Tabletop Roleplaying game. However, there is an official Diablo Board Game in development by Glass Cannon Unplugged. News on that will come at a later time.

Thanks to RedOctober2226 for the news tip.

A roundtable of top designers deliver the long-awaited tabletop RPG
with a massive core rulebook and one-shot anthology series

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Aug 4, 2025 – Glass Cannon Unplugged and Genuine Entertainment are excited to share the details on the upcoming Diablo®: The Roleplaying Game, which brings the hordes and Lords of Hell to Kickstarter this Fall for a late Summer 2026 retail release – just in time for BlizzCon 2026, Blizzard’s ultimate celebration of its games and community.

Diablo: The Roleplaying Game is a co-production from GCU and Genuine Entertainment, with Genuine’s Joe LeFavi (Alien, Blade Runner, Dune, The Walking Dead) behind the GM screen as lead producer, setting writer, and loremaster on the RPG series. After years of development, the adaptation of Blizzard’s icon of isometric action features a custom d6 dice pool system forged by a roundtable of top designers, with LeFavi and GCU’s Head of Game Development Przemyslaw Zub (Dying Light) working alongside Cam Banks (Marvel Heroic Roleplaying), John Harper (Blades in the Dark), Mike Olson (Fate Accelerated), and Shawn Tomkin (Ironsworn) on the core rules.

In this fast, fun, and fearless grim dark adventure, Diablo: The Roleplaying Game delivers the video game’s signature power fantasy by flipping the script on character creation, fully equipping players to live the epic-level dream of tabletop roleplaying games from session zero. With magic gear equipped and mastery skills unlocked from day one, fan-favorite classes like Barbarians, Druids, Necromancers, Rogues, and Sorcerers come alive at the game table as players can hack and slash to their heart’s content – plowing through mobs and impossible odds in cinematic, tactical combat exploding with all the phenomenal powers, devastating combos, and legendary loot that fans know and love.

Set after the climactic events of Diablo IV, the tabletop RPG series will begin with a robust Core Rulebook – bursting with over 300 pages of game rules, rich lore, detailed maps, and gorgeous artwork, including book covers by Antonio De Luca and Blizzard Principal Concept Artist, Igor Sidorenko, with original interior art from Sidorenko, De Luca, and other fan favorites like Mark Molnar, Tomasz Larek, Joseph Lacroix, Damien Mammoliti, Scotty Newman, Pixoloid, and more.

Alongside the Corebook is Volume 1 of an ongoing anthology of one-shot adventures; each stand-alone tale from a different designer on a RPG dream team including Cullen Bunn (Horrow County), John Harper (Blades in the Dark), Graham McNeill (Warhammer), Micky Neilson (Diablo), Francesco Nepitello & Umberto Pignatelli (Lord of the Rings), MJ Newman (Arkham Horror), Grégory Thomazo (Shadows of Esteren), Shawn Tomkin & Matt Click (Ironsworn), and more. “The narrative depth and breadth of Diablo: The Roleplaying Game is limitless,” said LeFavi, who is curating the anthology. “This anthology allows us to lead by example and couch co-op with our favorite dice rollers as they explore Sanctuary and what makes this world so demonically delicious on their own terms.”
