Back in December, Google announced Google Play Games will be launched in 2022. Google Play Games is the Google Play app for Windows 10 and Windows 11 — bringing mobile games to the Desktop PC. However, this is Google’s response to Microsoft’s plan to add Android to Windows 10 / 11. Not one and the same.

What Microsoft is bringing to Windows 11 is a closed Android platform via Amazon; whereas the Google Play Games app is native and has a broader variety of mobile games.

The Google Play Games (Beta) registrations are open in Taiwan, Hong Kong and South Korea. If you wish to get notified when Google Play Games testing is available in your area; or when it launches go here.

Google Play Games app is not for everyone. If you want to play Diablo Immortal on your PC, you will need some upgrades. Start saving money. These are the Google Play Games PC minimum requirements:

  • Windows 10 (v2004)
  • Solid state drive (SSD)
  • Gaming-class GPU
  • 8 logical cores of CPU
  • 8 GB of RAM
  • 20 GB of available storage space
  • Windows admin account
  • Hardware virtualization must be turned on
  • Compatible PC device and configuration

Google Play Games is a PC application that lets you browse, download, and play select mobile games on a Windows desktop or laptop. Besides enjoying your favorite Android games on a PC, you’ll have keyboard and mouse access, seamless sync across devices, and integration with Google Play Points. Google Play Games is not yet available for Mac.
