SDCC 2013 – New Sideshow Collectibles Blizzard Licensed Product?

I will consider this one a rumor. San Diego Comic Con attendees who love polystone statues, and sixth scale figures might be interested to visit the Blizzard booth. My crystal ball whispered me there might be either a new product or new products from Sideshow Collectibles which have not been officially announced. This might or might not happen.

If this mystery product(s) is more than a rumor, it will be shown exclusively at the Blizzard Entertainment booth # 115 (Hall A). Heed the call, and visit the Blizzard booth.

Check out some of the new Blizzard Licensed merchandise announced a few days ago to be sold at the Blizzard booth, and the floor map where I marked all the Blizzard Licensed partners booths.

San Diego Comic Con 2013 Booths – Blizzard Licensed Products

The San Diego Comic Con 2013 booth information is now available. From the list of exhibitors, I hand-picked for our audience some of the booths of interest to visit. Some of them might have potential to display info about upcoming Blizzard licensed products.

The Panel Schedules are not available yet to the public. I’ll update you once those are launched to let you know which day and time Blizzard Publishing plans to make announcements.

The SDCC takes place on July 18-21 at the San Diego Convention Center located at 111 West Harbor Drive San Diego, CA 92101 (Map)

Confirmed

Mega Brands booth 3949 — No new line of World of Warcraft. However, I have confirmation Mega Brands will be giving away a ton of MEGA BLOKS WOW blind packs (I assume the World of Warcraft Mega Bloks #91100 Series 1 Mystery Pack [1 Random Figure]). They will also display a massive Mega Bloks Halo Promethean Knight and give attendees literally thousands of free giveaways. Keep an eye on that booth.

Rumored

Last year, Sideshow announced the Arthas Polystone Statue, the Diablo Polystone Statue, and the StarCraft II Sixth Scale Figure.

This year, there is potential for Sideshow Collectibles to announce the 2014 Blizzard-licensed product line-up at the Blizzard Entertainment booth # 115.

Speculation

Funko’s 2013 catalog shared at the Toy Fair New York revealed the concept art of an upcoming line of StarCraft, Diablo and Warcraft POP Vinyl figures: Jim Raynor, Kerrigan, Tyrael, Diablo, Arthas & Illidan. By now they should have some prototypes to show (speculation of course). Update: Blizzard announced new Funko merchandise that will be on sale at the Blizzard Booth.

Simon & Schuster, Inc. — Potential to show the World of Warcraft: Vol’jin: Shadows of the Horde and the 2014 line-up (unless it’s revealed at NYCC).

DC Entertainment might have announcements about the StarCraft Graphic Novel, and/or unveil plans for upcoming Blizzard Licensed graphic novels we haven’t heard of yet. (speculation)

It’s been a while we haven’t heard anything about the DC Unlimited Warcraft/StarCraft action figures. Diamond Distributors and the DC Comics booths might be a good spot to check out upcoming line-up.

Insight Editions might reveal the Diablo III: Book of Tyrael.

UDON is likely showcasing the World of Warcraft Tribute.

Last year, USApoly launched the Monopoly: World of Warcraft Collector’s Edition, and RISK: StarCraft Collector’s Edition. The Trivial Pursuit: World of Warcraft has been under the radar several months. SDCC might be a good place to show it to the world. Will it happen? Check out their booth to find out.

Finally, the XBox and SONY booths. I haven’t heard anything about Blizzard showcasing Diablo III (PS3), or Diablo III (Xbox 360). I’ll update if anything reaches my ears.

Among the Special Guests is Louise Simonson (DC Comics World of Warcraft). Tony Washington (DC Comics World of Warcraft) will be at the Artists Alley (table CC-20)

New York Comic Con Single-Day Tickets on Sale Now

The New York Comic Con Single-Day tickets went on sale today at 12PM. It’s a good idea to pick Saturday tickets and any other day you wish to attend before these are sold out.

I haven’t yet confirmed if Blizzard Entertainment is returning to New York Comic Con this year, but last year I recorded video of the Blizzard Entertainment Publishing Panel held by Micky Neilson, Dave Kosak and Michael Stackpole. The room was at full capacity with hundreds of fans. I’d assume Micky would love to repeat the experience, but ultimately depends on what the 2014 publishing line-up consists of, and how well the response of fans has been for these books throughout 2013.

To narrow it down, Micky Neilson and Dave Kosak revealed at New York Comic Con 2013, for the first time, the 2013 publishing line-up:

This year’s New York Comic Con will be held on October 10-13th at the Javits K. Jacobs Convention Center located at the 655 West 34th Street, New York, NY (Manhattan).

Blizzplanet Updates – June.13.2013

These have been an intense few weeks uploading Patch 5.3 videos. I have been busy restoring several sections that fans used to visit years ago. The menu to the right now has a widget to facilitate navigation by video game. Check the widget out to access the lore archives for previous Blizzard Entertainment video games.

You can read the history of the worlds found in the game manual, as well as the NPC dialogues and mission objectives for:

  • Diablo II
  • Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
  • Warcraft: Orcs and Humans
  • Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness
  • Warcraft II: Beyond the Dark Portal

I’m going to stop for a bit on classic Blizzard games to focus on Patch 5.4 videos. I finished downloading the PTR.

I’m also looking forward to finish the StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm NPC dialogues.

The next few weeks will be as fun restoring other sections Blizzplanet visitors loved to read a few years ago:

  • Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos
  • Warcraft III: Frozen Throne
  • StarCraft
  • StarCraft: Brood War

New York Comic Con Single-Day Tickets on Sale June 19

I got an alert that the New York Comic Con (single-day) tickets will be on sale on June 19th at 12pm EDT. It is unknown at the moment if Blizzard Entertainment will be there. The NYCC organizers haven’t made the exhibitor list public yet.

VIP Tickets, 3-Day tickets, and 4-Day tickets were sold out. This upcoming ticket sale is for individual days only: Thursday-only, Friday-only, Saturday-only or Sunday-only. I guess people can buy a combination of individual days.

Last year, Micky Neilson, Dave Kosak and Michael Stackpole led the Blizzard Entertainment Publishing Panel at New York Comic Con on Saturday, October 13th, 2012. You can watch my video of the panel here.

Will Blizzard repeat the experience? The room was packed with a lot of Blizzard fans, hopefully Blizzard returns. If things go well, I’ll be there to bring you video and photos.

Once Blizzard confirms attendance and provides a schedule I’ll inform visitors.

Check out and bookmark the New York Comic Con official website.
