Blizzard Entertainment launched a new Diablo III: Eternal Collection (Nintendo Switch) live action trailer just 3 days before BlizzCon’s Opening Ceremony. The Diablo III: Eternal Collection is shipping on November 2 for the Nintendo Switch.
The trailer starts at a building apartment. The walls become tainted with bloody creep crawling up the wall and the ceiling; and the wall paint bubbles up as the temperature rises. The taint originates from the armor remains of an angel that has been killed by Diablo.
From the point of view of a female player, you walk downstairs. All the way out of the building, the walls have a claw-shaped scratch. Diablo’s roar can be heard in the distance.
I want you to watch the trailer 0:11 until 0:20. The camera moves in a 360 degree as it swivels downward on the Z-axis of the stairs. If you reversed the sequence from 0:20 to 0:11, starting on the ground level of the building, you would notice there are 4 floors — with ground level being Floor 1. Probably looking too deep into it… but I bet some people might get hyped with Diablo IV.
The female player walks through the streets. Cars are clawed on the side. The streets are desolated. Fiery ash floats in the air.
A car is impacted by an Angel weapon causing the car to rotate 45 degrees. You probably missed it, but if you pause the video, a nearby van has rune symbols. Some are recognizable from Talent Runes in Diablo III, but others have no resemblance. Makes me wonder if there is a significance hidden there.
The weapon stuck on the car’s hood looks a lot like Imperius’ lance.
A blue rune appears on the ground.
Then the camera moves to an alley where the female player is revealed holding a Nintendo Switch. The Diablo cinematic plays on the Nintendo Switch screen. The woman looks in defiance with a smirk to the end of the Alley where a gate of fire opens. Seconds later, Diablo breaches the portal.
