The Sydyru Bone is a legendary crafting material used by Blacksmight Haedrig Eamon to craft the Sydryu Crust (2-Hand Legendary Bow).
The Sydyru Bone is a randon drop off the Plague Carrier (rare spawn) named Sicklefang. Create a normal-difficulty Adventure-mode game. Go to the Act I: Fields of Misery waypoint. Locate the Forsaken Grounds and talk with the Beleaguered Farmer. He starts the quest titled Carrion Farm. Kill the four Plague Nest. The last plague nest will auto-spawn Sicklefang where the plague nest was located. If no Sydyru Bone drops, keep creating new games until it happens. Took me about 20-30 attempts.
Note: The Forsaken Grounds (farm) is a random location and sometimes it won’t spawn. If you see burning houses, or hills with roads — the quest Carrion Farm won’t spawn. Simply leave the game and create a new one.
Sydryu Crust – 2-H Bow
The Sydryu Crust blacksmith recipe dropped for me from Ssthrass (who also drops Iron Wolves Doctrine). I’m uncertain if this bow recipe is part of his loot table or simply luck.
In order to craft a Sydryu Crust, you require a Doubleshot (2-H bow, white quality).
The Quaking Vial is used by the Blacksmith Haedrig Aemon to craft a 2-Handed Mace named Sunder.
The Quaking Vial drops off elite Mallet Lords in the Hell Rift Level 1 (Campaign Mode): Hammersmash and Sledge. Open a campaign mode map and choose Act IV: 2. The Light of Hope — Corrupt Growths Tier 1. Search for the Hell Rift portal by destroying the Corrupt Growth. Enter Hell Rift.
Sunder – 2-H Legendary Mace
A Persuader is required to craft this weapon. Flesh Render can be looted from the Weapon Racks in High Heavens. I found mine in Gardens of Hope 2nd Tier.
Living Flame is a legendary crafting material used by Blacksmith Haedrig Eamon to craft a legendary 2-handed weapon axe named Cinder Switch.
Living Flame has a chance to drop off the morlu caster Sao’Thall (Embodiment of Hatred). He is a Bounty target in Act IV: The Silver Spire Level 2 — however, he spawns in non-bounty maps too. I just killed him during Bounty: Aspect of Terror, for example.
Living Flame also drops from Rhau’Kye in Act IV: The Silver Spire Level 2 and Malfeas the Abhorrent (rare spawn) in Act IV: The Silver Spire Level 2 found at the Radiant Chapel dungeon.
The Flesh Render is required to craft this weapon. Flesh Render is a random drop from Weapon Racks in the Garden of Hope Tier 1. Maybe other areas of the High Heavens.
The Maghda’s Tormented Soul is a random drop for killing Maghda. I looted about 5 of them in about 40 kills. Simply create a normal-difficulty Adventure Mode. Take the waypoint towards Act II: Road to Alcarnus. Enter Maghda’s lair. If she doesn’t drop it, leave the game, and rinse and repeat until she does.
Cain’s Destiny Set
The Maghda’s Tormented Soul is required to craft the Cain’s Destiny set at Blacksmith Haedrig Eamon. The Cain’s Destiny set adds +6 magical properties, and as you can see from the images below the stats are really good with +100% Magical Find, +50% Bonus Experience and +8% attack speed. On my Crusader level 70 (Paragon 32), I currently get a lot of 1.5 million crits at fast speeds using runes that trigger attack speed.
Note: The Ascended armor required to craft these items can be farmed at the Act V: Battlefields of Eternity in Pandemonium. They drop off the armor racks, and loose stones in normal difficulty.
The Captured Nightmares item is a Legendary Crafting Material required to craft a legendary 1-H Weapon at Blacksmith Haedrig Eamon. The Captured Nightmare is found in Act IV. This material is really hard to farm due to the nature of the mob it drops from.
The Terror Demon can be found in the following Act IV locations:
Gardens of Hope Level 2
The Silver Spire Level 1
The Silver Spire Level 2
Take the waypoint to The Gardens of Hope Level 2 and thoroughly explore all the tier. Once you have explored all of it, use the Town Portal to reach Bastion’s Keep. There take the waypoint to the Silver Spire Level 1; or take the gateway.
My first attempt, I only found two Terror Demon in the Gardens of Hope level 2. Based on the amount of time it takes to navigate that place it is not worth it. Skip it. About 4-5 in the Silver Spire level 1. Probably 3 in Silver Spire level 2. It might vary. However, through observation it seems Vile Lesions have a chance to spawn a Terror Demon. Thus, go kill all the Vile Lesions and Infernal Cocoons protruding off the ground. Seems clicking on Tortured Angels have a chance to spawn a Terror Demon.
My Captured Nightmares, however, dropped from Grimnight the Soulless (yellow elite Demonfire Nightmare/Enslaved Nightmare). Found him in Silver Spire Level 2. Not sure if it is relevant, but Grimnight the Soulless spawned during the Bounty: Kill Haures. Haures is an Enslaved Nightmare too.
The Cartographer’s Toolkit is a legendary crafting material used by the Blacksmith Haedrig Aemon to craft the Board Walkers Boots.
The Cartographer’s Toolkit drops from two sources in Sanctuary: Lavarinth and Enkidu. Both elite mobs are Ghoul creatures.
It has a chance to be dropped by Lavarinth in Rakkis Crossing (Act III). Lavarinth spawns during the “Blaze of Glory” Event which is triggered by talking to Captain Haile.
Another source the Cartographer’s Toolkit may drop from is: Enkidu. He spawns during the “Eternal War” Event in Festering Woods (Act I). In contrast with the previous source, this one is a random event.
While exploring the Festering Woods, keep an eye to the mini-map constantly. You will see a yellow dot on the mini-map pointing at an event.
Note: You are not looking at the monument atop the hill (That is for the Last Stand of the Ancients Event).
What you are looking for is a square on the ground which triggers the Eternal War event.
Board Walkers – Boots
This recipe requires a few materials you don’t usually acquire by disenchanting: Ascended Greaves and Cartographer’s Tool Kit.
The Ascended Greaves (Boots) is a random loot obtained mostly from clicking on decaying armor, angel corpse, and loose stone throughout the Battlefield of Eternity (Act V) in Pandemonium.
The Borns Key drops from Lucious the Depraved who is located in the Cemetery of the Forsaken in Act I. There is a catch: he is a rare spawn, which adds an extra layer of randomness to his already random drop rate.
While random loot is bound to luck, and some might get it in the first or few attempts, it might take several attempts. In my personal experience, he spawned once every 5-7 maps. I killed him about 15 times.
Sometimes you won’t see any elites. Sometimes a skeleton elite shows up. Sometimes Lucious the Depraved spawns. There were occasions where he spawned two times in a row. Important: Even if you see the skeleton elite, you should still explore all of the cemetery. About twice, both Lucious and the skeleton elite spawned in the same map.
One thing to note is that Lucious the Depraved patrols all the cemetery, including upstairs by the crypts to the sides of the cemetery. Search thoroughly before creating a new map.
The way I do it is: I create a map. Teleport to the Cemetery of the Forsaken. Ignore the skeletons. Just search clockwise. Teleport back to New Tristram. Leave the game. Create a fresh game. Rinse and repeat until you loot the Borns Key.
Lucious the Depraved spawns pools of poison beneath his feet, and likes to flee away during combat which means a lot of skeleton aggro when you try to chase him. Not much of a problem if you are geared well.
**Hocoga reports it also drops from Dataminer in the Cemetery of the Forsaken. There is a Adventure Mode bounty for him.
The Borns Key is a legendary crafting material to create the Born’s Command Set. Thanks d3ros_wiki
The Angelic Shard drops from Izual in Act IV, and the Blacksmith will use this item to craft the Hallowed set. The Angelic Shard also drops from Corrupted Angels which you will probably find often in the Silver Spire Level 1 while completing bounties in your group, but it is more effective and less time consuming to farm Izual solo several times until it drops.
The Mystical Source is a legendary crafting material used by the Blacksmith Haedrig Eamon to craft the Sage’s Journey set.
The Mystical Source has chance to drop off rare purple ponies in Whimsyshire. You must have the Infernal Staff of Herding in order to open the portal to Whimsyshire in Torment mode at the rift located west of Old Tristram (by the cow skeleton).
I have played about 60-70 runs in Normal mode clearing everything that moves. No luck. I have now done over 20 Torment 1 runs killing only purple rare spawns. No luck. However, based on other materials and that they drop from rare spawns, I’m going with that.
Update: Mystical Source dropped for me in beta from Midnight Sparkle. The way to go to farm this item is to get a skill build that allows you to speed run. If you have a healing ability get it in. Load Whimsyshire Torment I. Explore the entire map without killing a single thing. Your aim here is to kill Purple named ponies. Don’t forget to search for the random Diablo piñata. I saw many of these. Got a legendary Horadric Hamburger dagger and a two-handed Sword named Maximus.
Midnight Sparkle is not the only purple pony, there are other rare spawns named Creampuff, Team Unicorn, and Nightmarish (Not sure if that’s the name, I killed him too fast in normal). There is another purple rare spawn named Tubbers (a big cuddle bear).
Purple Rare Spawns
Midnight Sparkle (Nightmare is Magic)
My Mystical Source dropped from Midnight Sparkle and this purple pony is a super rare spawn. I killed him in Torment I mode. After over 80 runs in normal mode, I shifted to Torment and ran another 20-30 runs and he spawned. It is unclear if it only drops from him or if it was just a random purple pony. There are 4 rare purple ponies so far seen by me (some shown below).
I found these extremely rare purple unicorns. They were a pack of four or five really tiny pigmy unicorns. Some died too fast for me to see their name. I was able to take a screenshot of two of them: R’Lyeh and Maulin Sorely.
The Shattered Core is a legendary crafting material used by Blacksmith Haedrig Eamon to craft a 1-Handed Mace named Devastator. It drops off Rockgut (rare spawn) in Act II: The Unknown Depths (located inside Archives of Zoltun Kulle). Rockgut is also a Bounty.
