While the BlizzCon goody bag will have a little something for everyone to take home, attendees might still want some loot to share with friends and guildmates who couldn’t make it to the show. With that in mind, we’ve created a variety of limited-edition items that will make their debut at BlizzCon. Please visit the BlizzCon Merchandise page to check out some of this epic BlizzCon gear. These items will all be produced in limited quantities, so be sure to stop by the BlizzCon Store as early as you can at the show…before someone ninja loots everything out from under you!
A player that has advanced through killing one of the four Emerald Dream dragons made a great discovery. It seems the Emerald Dream instance isn’t too far from been released. The dream form of Malfurion Stormrage NPC came before Remulos in the Moonglades to report that C’thun the fifth Old god is the cause of the Nightmare within the Emerald Dream. We get to discover that Cenarius’ spirit is helping Malfurion in the Emerald Dream—which is a big chance Cenarius NPC will offer quests at some point. Malfurion also mentions that Illidan has lost his mind after his defeat during his showdown with Arthas. Read the brief dialogue between Malfurion and Remulos at our Wow Story Arcs section

The Silithus storyline seems to be among the most epic lorewise to be released in patch 1.8. One of the quests involves Geologist Laksbane who reads from an ancient script the story of the origin of the Qiraji, revealing that indeed a fifth Old god existed. This Old god is named C’Thun—creator of the Qiraji. The Silithid were one of the creatures sprung to life by the Well of Eternity, but used as a tool by the Old god C’Thun to serve as avatars. The Avatars were known as the Qiraji, who enslaved the Silithid as hosts. According to War of the Ancients Trilogy novel, three Old gods were imprisoned beneath the ground by the Titans. In Darkshore, by the Master’s Glaive, can be found the skull of one of the Old gods impaled by a Titan sword. The revelation of C’Thun—an old god fallen in Silithus—confirms the existence of a fifth god. Read the full story at our Wow Story Arcs section
