Community manager Tyvalir announced that Diablo III Season 15 will end (a month from now) on January 6th; and shortly after, Season 16 starts on January 11th.

Hey everyone,

In order to ensure a smooth transition between Seasons, and give players extra time to enjoy the Double Bounty Cache buff, we will be ending Season 15 on January 6. With this, Season 16 is scheduled to begin on January 11.

As a quick heads-up, we will also be resetting the current Era leaderboards on January 11, so you’ve still got some time to push for that final leaderboard placement before the rollover occurs!

Good luck,
– Tyvalir

As a reminder, Nevalistis told Rhykker at BlizzCon that she had “some blogs” (unfinished) that now needed to be posted after BlizzCon. So far the only blog she has posted was about the PTR 2.6.4 patch notes.

Nevalistis: “I gotta say, we have some stuff coming for Diablo III. For next Season. We will have more to talk about later. Honestly, it came down to… I am in the process of working on some blogs and things like that; and I just couldn’t get them done before BlizzCon. So it had to wait until after BlizzCon. But we are not done with Diablo III. We are not done with Diablo III.”

The next blog is definitely about Season 16 (possibly a preview). Is there room for a third blog before December 31? We’ll see.
